Technology · Atlas

The detection stack we built because the off-the-shelf ones weren't enough.

Atlas is Lezly's in-house engine for detecting, documenting and removing unauthorised distribution of protected assets. It is operated 24/7 from London by analysts and engineers, and supervised by counsel.

The layers

What makes Atlas different.

Six layers, one engine. Each one is observable, auditable and supervised by a human.

Layer · I

Fingerprint Library

Every protected asset is fingerprinted with a perceptual hash that survives transcoding, cropping, watermarking and even camcorder capture. Our library currently holds 84,000 active manifests across film, television, sport and music.

Layer · II

Open-Web Crawl

Atlas continuously crawls the surfaces where infringement lives: marketplaces, file lockers, social platforms, IPTV directories, pirate aggregator indexes, P2P trackers and the long tail of rogue web players. Daily crawl volume exceeds 12 million URLs.

Layer · III

Live Signal Match

For live events, Atlas compares fingerprints from your authorised signal against any candidate stream in under thirty seconds. The match runs at the edge so that takedown can be issued while the play is still on the field.

Layer · IV

Human Review Bench

Every candidate detection passes through a human analyst before any notice leaves the studio. Our review bench is staffed across three continents, in twenty-three languages, twenty-four hours a day.

Layer · V

Notice Composer

A counsel-supervised templating engine drafts jurisdiction-correct notices (DMCA, EUCD, CDPA and equivalents) with chain-of-custody attached. A senior counsel reviews every escalation before delivery.

Layer · VI

Evidence Vault

Detections, screenshots, response headers and chain-of-custody are stored in a write-once vault with cryptographic timestamps. Court-ready evidence packs can be produced years after the original capture.

Architecture

Two pipelines, one shared memory.

Atlas is split into a high-throughput open-web pipeline and a low-latency live-signal pipeline. Both write to the same write-once Evidence Vault. Counsel and analysts read from the vault. The system is deployed across three regions and is multi-cloud by design.
